In 1998 Danie acquired Paint Factory, stocking household paints and accessories, with a small section of fabric paints. Decoupage products were added to the mix at customers’ requests.
Natasha, Danie’s daughter joined his team in 2008, taking over the craft section. She started making samples for the shop and discovered a passion for crafts. Her passion drove her to order more craft products, and the shop developed into an awesome craft shop.
Tragedy struck as the shop was set alight. The fire started at the back of the shop. We lost a lot of stock and the lasercutter was badly damaged. Due to urgent orders we had to import a new lasercutter. In the meantime Danie managed to repair the damaged lasercutter. Now the team has two lasercutters. Both are working full steam everyday.
During 2015, mom, Helené joined the team. She helps out where ever needed.
In 2005 the shop was relocated to a bigger premises as the demand for other crafts products grew. With all the extra customers, more space was of dire need, and we were blessed to have found something to meet the shops growing needs
A whole new world opened for us, when a lasercutter joined the team in 2010. Natasha went on a Corel Draw course to design images to cut with the lasercutter. Now she is also doing custom design work for customers.
Just a word of gratitude to our loyal customers who supported us during this time. Some with words of encouragement, some with their time to come and help clean the shop and some with donations. We would like to thank Dorina who looked after our physical wellbeing by preparing and bringing us daily meals and a special thanks to our two “nightshift” workers.
Now in 2016 we are a respected craft shop in the Pretoria, moot area.
